Lids come with filter disc and self healing injection port as well as silicone sealing bands. These lids are much easier to use than the metal ones that come with jars. The filter discs easily come off when you need them to but stay on for sterilization as well as the entire colonization cycle.

These lids are great. I know I could make my own but these are nice, they go through the pressure cooker for 2 hours with zero problems. The self healing ports are nice and tight and stay put when putting a needle through them.<br /> <br /> I am buying more so that all of my jars use these lids! Thank you!
